Sailing and Powerboat Days

Number of Participants: 20-24 guests

VENUE

Guests will arrive at the yachts at approximately 09.30 a.m. where the crew will be there to greet them, Champagne, Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Croissant, Danishes, Muffins, Tea, Coffee and Fruit Juices will be served in the spectacular surroundings overlooking the beautiful Hamble River.  The yachts are based on the River Hamble and are only a 5 minute drive from junction 8 of the M27.

MORNING EVENT

At the end of the breakfast reception there will be a safety briefing, an introduction to the skippers (who will be commercially endorsed DOT Yachtmasters or equivalent).  At the same time we will issue, wet weather clothing and life jackets.

We will then leave the docks in the yachts and powerboats for a gentle 5 minute cruise down the River Hamble towards Southampton Water and the Solent.  This will give participants the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the vessels.

During the morning half the guests will get their first taste of cruising onboard a luxury cruising yacht, every one will get plenty of opportunity to try some hands on sailing handling manoeuvres and helming, while the rest of the group will experience the thrills and spills of driving a high performance powerboat, and cruising to places as far a field as the Needles on the western tip of the Isle of Wight, alternatively they can just sit back and relax, we will also have the opportunity to get up close to some of the fast and furious racing that Cowes Week has become famous for.

LUNCH

Lunch will be served on board the yachts, at one of the many sheltered anchorages around the Solent, it will include a three course buffet lunch accompanied by fine wines and chilled beers.  The lunch break will give the two groups a chance to chat over the morning's events.

AFTERNOON EVENT

During the afternoon the guests will change boats, giving everyone a chance to either helm a luxury yacht or drive these amazing powerboats, while extending the days exploration, to place such as Beaulieu, Lymington or maybe Yarmouth, or watch some more of the racing action.  Guests will then sail back to the River Hamble.

AFTERNOON TEA

Afternoon cream teas will be served onboard the yachts while cruising back up the river before the group departs at approximately 17.30 hours.

VESSELS (Sail)

On this option we will use this stunning 50 foot performance cruising yacht, easy and comfortable to sail, yet still providing the excitement for those more experienced sailors amongst your group, comfortable with 12 guests and 2 crew.

POWER

In this option we will use this luxury 50 foot performance powerboat; it is capable of speeds in excess of 30 knots and has boat handling characteristics that Sunseeker are now famous for!  The two boats together will provide a stunning combination for up to 24 of your special guests.
