No racecourse in the world has a more historic setting than Chester's Roodee. The first official records of horse racing at Chester date back to the early 16th century, making it the country's oldest racecourse.

Chester is also one of Britain's most appealing spectator courses. Visitors to the County Stand are treated to the magnificent panorama of the Roodee, the wide sweep of the River Dee and the Welsh Hills beyond.

The atmosphere at Chester is very social and an ideal event to entertain. Private Chalets within the Festival village are available for 30 + guests.
